Exclusive:: e46 M3 CSL vs. BMW Performance Sport Seats Comparison
#15
Better pics soon of course. Initial impressions...they are a must have if you prefer to feel more connected to the car and retain reasonable comfort. Long distances, well that's fairly subjective but for now they will see more action on local twisties and hpde if/when I find the time. So far I dont and probably wont miss the adjustability...but will have to get used to a different "normal" seating position once I decide which holes in the side mounts work best. At 6'2" was looking for a bit more headroom, and could probably gain another 3/4" if I give up the slider. I'll say this, these are hard to get, but if you happen upon a set or one for reasonable cost you dont need the oem slider/tilt, standard recaro parts will suffice. Lastly, in terms of safety I wouldnt recommend any other fix back seat that wasnt designed to work with standard belts, and though these didnt come standard in the US, TUV & BMW approval is acceptable by me.
I'll leave further review to the handful of folks who have more seat time in them and another follow up once atan888 completes his install of the new performance seats.
