Arrow Video: Motor Trend pits Lexus LFA against Nissan GT-R in epic drag race

"Motor Trend managed to procure a brand-new Lexus LFA for testing just long enough to line it up against the magazine's own long-term Nissan GT-R for an impromptu drag race. What happened? Well, the Lexus unleashed all 552 of its horsepower (at 8,700 RPM) and 354 pound-feet of torque (at 6,800 RPM) to its rear wheels and the Nissan used its all-wheel drive system to its advantage."

Great video. If the prices of a used LF-A ever approached the 150k to 200k mark I would consider one.

I agree with you Hernando. Even though it's not very beautiful I am convinced that the high revving V10 engine and the carbon fibre chassis make this car quite special. The most amazing thing about it though is the sound, no other car sounds as much like a F1 car imo.

A simple ecu flash for the GTR (cost: 1k) and it will smoke it out of the water.

The LFA does sound phenomenal though.

Disappointed I wasn't at CalSpeedway the day they filmed that!

I honestly don't know if I like those two cars, or not......so weird not to have figured this out internally......

Again, the GTR may have lost but it performed extremely well in comparison to a car such as the LFA

I've heard the GTR with the HKS exhaust, sounds not far from it but also nice.
