You're mistaken. There was someone SELLING a Carrera GT on ebay asking $200K premium over current mkt. price because the car was PtS orange. Here's the thread by alkyoneus on the car:

Whether he sold the car or not for his $600K+ asking price I do not know.

Cstroked is right, nobody ever makes their money back on PtS. Some cars may or may not be easier to sell in "throwback" colors like Mexico Blue, Viper Green or Signal Orange, but there is no crazy premium being paid for these colors on the used market.
