You're starting to sound like me. I would question whether or not the 918 could even pull a 7:18 'ring time, let alone a 7:11, with the powertrain that was featured in the prototype. The 918 would have to be something truly special indeed to be faster than the GT2RS. That also applies to the upcoming 'hypercars' from Ferrari, Pagani, etc...
