Hyundai Veloster Turbo
I'm looking at getting into a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo 6-speed. I'm a first time buyer, 26 but I've been driving my college car for years now. Going to be leasing but we're not getting into pricing, financing, yada yada...
Any personal experience with one? I drove an automatic Turbo yesterday with the crappy paddles and aside from that the car was fantastic. The steering was nice and stiff, just how I like it. Power delivery was strong, and the brakes were awesome. I was considering a Civic Coupe and the Hyundai Elantra Coupe 6-speed as well (drove one of those) and was set on the Elantra Coupe. Overnight I started thinking that for a little bit more money I can get into a quicker, more fun, unique car that overall as a lot more of what I was looking for.
I can find a brand new one for under $23k and the standard features list is out of this world (7-in touch screen, panoramic roof, dual heated leather, Bluetooth). Color doesn't matter too much either. Average mpg is 30-31 with a 13.2 gal tank.
What do you guys think? I'm mainly attracted to the fun factor obviously, but the great mpg and insane Hyundai warranty are all key points. Also, I have a 9 month old so the third door is great for the car sear. So what's the consensus?

Well I stopped back at the dealer again tonight to get some final numbers and see if they have the car I want. There were only 4 6-speed Turbos available in Florida in the color preferences I had and while we were running numbers three of those four sold. It was down to one last car, an Elite White on black/blue interior, my number one choice!! GM is 99% sure he can get it and I'll know by 9am tomorrow. It's 2 hours away and if they can get it on the truck it's mine! I'll check in again tomorrow
So excited and so nervous!

I picked it up on Thursday night and I've put a little over 200 miles on it so far. Starting to work in the turbo a bit. It's pretty quick for a little 1.6 and the power-to-weight is definitely noticeable. It's 234 lbs lighter than a GTI with the same power.
I did a little 5-minute DIY mod to disconnect the BPV and give it that nice BOV sound, something Hyundai should have done from the factory.
Here's a shot from the dealer and a video of the new sound:
