Hello! My property is on the Antlantic coast, in a small town known for its calm.
I am not too scared, this site is 5minutes drive from my house, and will be in a secured area. This is a complex of house that is built by a good friend of mine. The thing is that whatever I left the car, i spend the most of my time in london. This mean that there wil be time when I won't be next to it

the GT3 is sitting in a garage 1.5 KM from my house, this causes me to not drive nearly as much as I should.

hello TS members. I am back to give some news after a long time away!

The new construct has been a nightmare so far!!! Wait...not the construction, the pre construction.
The land on which the garage will be, is on the "jurisdiction" of a small village that modified the Land Occupation Plan of the town such a way that building new plots is hard.
To be short, I cannot built a sole garage...

Whatever, I love the location and I own this land...So I figured out a way to do things properly and nicely!!!
The garage must have an living part in order to be accepted; guess what: I did it...

So it will be very modern (the town accept modern constructions but not sole garages.......). This will be a cubic construction with a flat roof; mixing glass, aluminium. The building in itself will be with two floors. The ground floor will be dedicated to the garage meanwhile the first floor will be occupied by a living area.

The garage will be quite large and divided in several areas; the first will be the "exposition" of cars, the second for mechincal things, the third will be for boats (I own 2 sailing boats that I will park there during the winter, with the motor boat I own with one of my brother). The last part is probably the most interesting and what makes this place so interesting according to me : it will be an area for other car enthousiast to park their own cars.
Indeed I don't need a flat or anything, so I decided that this living place will be a gathering place for car enthousiast. A part of the first floor will be transparent so that you can admire the cars from the top. A large reception room is planed to be modulable and organise different types of events from formula one watch to dinners after roadtrips.
Do you see the concept?

I am trying to see if I could transform it as a "maison d'hote" dedicated for can enthousiast...
It is passionating.

The surface of the garage will be roughly 375m2 and the top 250 or so so.

What is your opinion?

I come back to france saturday for 10 days in order to chck the construction that is due to start monday!!!

Sounds like a great plan. Construction pics when you get a chance. Best of luck. Construction is never easy.

After one week in france the project is Just starting with one week late. I will try to show you with plans and sketches.

The first part is to level the ground and dig few things around. Then the next part is due to be delivered in 4-5month depending of the weather. I am fighting with the builder atm for him to cover the wall in order to have a sane building (I have seen damaged constructions because of water infiltrations in the concrete blocks while construction...).

I am taking delivery of a 911 at the same time. Decided that the safest choice was to go for a second hand 997 GTS or turbo, waiting for the loooong list of 991 due to come out.
I really like the outside design of the 991...even though the interior appears to me not as sporty as before.

@bmoores: the goal is not to through this type of party...we already have politicians good at it in france....let them do it!!!

Thanks to all
