might be in.. as jox says the passes can still be closed at that time though

Yep. Definitely not a climb you want to do on summer tires if there's even a hint of snow on the ground. Especially seeing as there are only wooden fences in the critical bends catching you from shooting yourself down here:

The possibility of snow does throw things off i suppose. I suppose we could move it later to say July but my gf will have to come which would make it a slightly different trip.

Never touched either, so no.

More along the lines of touristy stuff, site seeing and she's not a fan of going ballistic around corners as i found out when we went around the Malibu Canyons a few months ago!

For the record, I have a massive fear of heights so she can ride with me. I drive like a pus going over the passes.

And I assume I just talked myself out of this motoring holiday by admitting this . . .
