1999 Ferrari F-550 Detail & correction

Recently completed, the vehicle is one of my favorite cars of all time......as I fit easily(Compared to a 355 etc..) and the look is classic with big power and unique as to see one on the road or a current model 599 is rare.

More rare is the color (Grigio Ingrid/sabbia) as I had a client with a 599 in (Grigio Ingrid/brown) and that client to this day kicks himself for selling that car.

The vehicle had not been corrected in quite a long time and it showed some "Patina", thus a thorough decon/clay was needed, along with a light compound on most of the vehicle and some aggressive correction on other body panels.

As the car arrived....

Hard water spots.

More water spots.

Initial compounding step.

One of the few pics that showed any marring.

After.

Heavy overspray on the left front side of the car(Customer would later own up to using black spray paint in the vicinity lol).

Wax applied by "Helen Keller Auto Detailing"......

Handled......

Fingernail scratches near door handle.

After correction.

Scratches in a place you least want them, on the thin crease of the fender.

After.

Gloss & clarity restored.

Right side mirror housing also had "Wax" applied to it, so cleaning was required to bring back the correct matte finish.

Nice view in the shop late at night.

Dirty interior.

Removing lint on the felt door seals.

Unknown substance on the carpet for who knows how long(Dry & crusty).

Loosened it with steam and sanitized the area as well.

Some fine brush work into the crevices.

After interior pics.

This pic shows the slight diffused sheen of the dressing as opposed to "Greasy/shiny".

Ready for "Sun pics".

Outstanding. A real classic. I've not seen one in this color. Nothing like the "full monty" to bring out the luster in the paint. Well done as always.
