We have two of our flight school planes on static display at the 2010 Joint Services Open House this weekend. It is the annual air show held at Andrews AFB. One more day to go, but we have had a LOT of fun so far. Here are some of the pics I've managed so far.

Flying In

We flew in on Wednesday to get things started. Here is the Air Force One hangar from about 1200 feet.



Short final coming into runway 19 Right at ADW. Our runway back at our airport is 2600'. This one is 11,000+. I laughed as we had to taxi another mile to the first turnoff before we could get clear.



I'm thinking this guy has the right of way...

Yesterday

First day of the show was humid and hazy so some of these pics aren't as clear as I would have liked.

Set up and ready to start the day. The wind would end up turning these things into one big kite. Not fun.

Yeah it was great yesterday. I have noticed there are noticeably less planes on static display than in years past. Did we meet? I talked to a lot of people.

That's so awesome!! I wish I would have known about this, is this a once of year event? Is this only at that particular base? I would love to go to one..
