Hi folks

Some of us thought it would be helpful to create a list of independent providers of Lamborghini service, repair, etc. I've volunteered to maintain this list. I will be maintaining this list across multiple forums so you may see shops and feedback listed that are not represented by comments in this specific thread but were sourced elsewhere. If you have questions about the source of a piece of feedback please feel free to PM me. Also of note is that Teamspeed has no Lamborghini "parent" forum so I chose to present this list in the Murci/Gallardo subforum as it seems to receive a bit more traffic than the Diablo/Countach forum.

Please list the trusted mechanics and repair centers in your area. Please only list shops that you are personally familiar with (no word of mouth) and that provide an experience you would recommend.

List the shop name, city, state, phone number, and a website URL if available and I'll make sure the list stays up to date in the first post.

Please try to submit as complete a set of information as you can. Otherwise it might take longer for your entry to appear.

Optionally, you can submit an X/5 rating (1 being the worst overall experience and 5 being the best overall experience). This way if experiences vary from one person to another then we can track that as well.

I have a feeling that forum sponsors won't like this thread much.

 

And if that's the case then of course I defer to the mods on that issue. I support The Team's moderator decisions in either case. My only platform is that it can sometimes be difficult to find independent service centers for exotics, especially those with good reputations based on first-hand experiences.

I think this is a cool thread if it is kosher with the mods. Which I am not (have to keep reminding myself).

I have long touted the need for a good independent mechanic when owning an exotic.

Randy Tippets in Yorba Linda is as good an independent Ferrari and Lambo mechanic as there is. Tons of experience and honest.

Finally getting a chance to add my own experience and vendor rec to the list!

I met James (screen name: Infamous) from Mobile-Addictions.com on the forums and he and I spoke for quite a while as he gave me friendly audio tech help before I even realized he has a shop! He was just being a helpful guy while I was installing an Alpine head unit in my Murci. Once my audio needs expanded and I realized he not only has a great audio shop but also specializes in exotics I knew this was the guy to go to for audio stuff.

Trick was, I am in Louisiana and his shop is in New York. After discussing the project with James I purchased the hardware I would be installing (amp, sub, door speakers, and custom trim panels) from Mobile Addictions. I was at first thinking I would do this install myself. I've done a number of car installs in my day but the more I thought about this the more it dawned on me that I needed a pro installer for this special project on my beloved Murci. Another call to James and he connected me with two of his best guys, Christopher and Joseph.

I flew them down to Louisiana all the way from Staten Island, NY. Talk about nice, professional guys! I could have chatted their ears off all day because they were so easy to get along with and very knowledgeable about exotics in general and especially Lambo. They got right to work and in less than a weekend my Murci now has a stellar audio system (pics coming soon).

I had a lot of uneasiness about the installation but James was very helpful and knowledgeable about the whole process. He is a Lambo owner himself and understands the love we have for our cars. This was NOT the "usual" car audio installer experience I have known in the past which led me to learn this craft myself in the first place. This was something altogether new and I'm SO glad I connected with James, Christopher, and Joseph to get this job done. After seeing them work I know now there was NO WAY I was going to get through this install riding on the knowledge of working on audio from "everyday cars" I've owned in the past. There are a lot of nuances and tricks that come only from skill and specialist know-how that is required to do an install on our delicate Lambos and these guys made it look easy.

And it turns out they are not just an audio shop but also do mechanical and custom work as well. Seats, fiberglassing, interior work, maintenance, and tons more. If I lived anywhere near the NY area I would without-a-doubt bring my Murcielago to Mobile Addictions for any and every service need based on what I saw this past weekend. These guys LOVE cars like I do and are as meticulous as any enthusiast I've ever met.

Pictures of the finished product coming soon! Right now I'm having too much fun listening to my new tunes! The OEM stereo setup in Lambos leaves a lot to be desired and I love music too much to just roll with the cliche "just press the gas pedal" mantra to drown out that factory system. I like to have the best of both worlds and now my dream car has a dream audio system too.
