Rumormill: Lamborghini working on short-wheelbase V12 Jota, Reventón Roadster
If you've been waiting for Lamborghini to replace the aging Murcielago and were disappointed by recent reports that its successor may not arrive until 2012, the mavens over at Autogespot may have some good news for you.
While the Murci may stay on for another few years, word has it that Lamborghini is working on another model, apparently to run in parallel. The reports suggest that the new model, tentatively dubbed Jota (after the label previously used on special Miuras and Diablos of yore), will use the Murcielago's V12, albeit packaged in a shorter wheelbase with an even wider track and lightweight materials.

Have read autogespot article in original.
They claim about they have inside information, about this Jota, they claim also that everything will be clear this fall.
Second inside news portion is that Lamborghini could rather say YES than NO to Reventon Roadster project.
I do not know if to trust them or not, but there were some reports coming from people who were at factory at saw there as they describe something truly amazing and truly next generation that has nothing to do with current both Gallardo and Murcie being developed and worked on hard, CF tub and some other goodies.
I have posted already good Reventon Roadster p-shop im my Reventon thread. Actually I would love to see actual Reventon Roadster.

Here is full Autogespot article in English:
The Lamborghini Murciélago has been on the market since 2002 and a while ago the last model of this series was presented, and this one is being produced in Sant' Agatha Bolognese as we speak. Time for something new! And guess what we have at Autogespot!
We expect a new model on the roads by 2012. But according to the source at the factory we may expect a new bull from the stables of Lamborghini by the end of this year. It will have a further developed engine from the Murciélago LP640. So even more power and better performance. The wheelbase will be shorter and the car will be wider. This should do the agility and feel of the car well. Also a lot of light materials will be used for an optimal weight.
We were also told that a Reventón Roadster is due to be presented.
What and how it will look is not clear yet. Lamborghini is good at keeping it's models a secret.
