2015 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Spied Up Close

Here are our latest spy photos of the Mercedes AMG GT in the latest stage of cammo.

We expect this Porsche 911 competitor to come with at least 3 engine options when it hits the market in late 2014 or early 2015, starting with a “base” model delivering some 400-450 horsepower, and up to a 600hp strong Black Series.

Mercedes claims that there will only be a Coupe version of the AMG GT (C190) , but we should never say never. We are guessing a Roadster version might show up in late 2015 or early 2016.

 

Will the SLS go out of production when this hits the market? The Black Series model kind of hints that this is the end of the current SLS production.

 

Yes. The SLS will be killed soon, hence the final editions that have recently been shown. A new SLS replacement won't be seen for around another 50 years.

 

WIll never be a Pcar. Look at the SLS and the AMG Black Series. Never.

 

Looks like an SLS to me. I'm confused.

 

When finished it will take design cues from the Vision GT concept.

 

I'm guessing it'll be pitched against the 911 and then Mercedes will build a flagship model based on the Vision.

 

They aren't meant to be a pcar.. Mercedes are desirable in their own way.
