Spied Again: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series

It’s been rumored and it’s been photographed in mule-guise, but our trusty spies bring us today new images of the production version 2013 Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series, shown here with minimal camouflage.

Caught while testing at the world’s most famous race track, the German Nürburgring, the prototype has a wide body kit with a modified front fascia, revised side skirts and extended fenders. We can also see high-performance brakes and larger rear wheels which hint at some changes to the rear axle. Under the hood, rumors suggest the 6.3-litre V8 engine could deliver 600 hp and 677 Nm of torque. This will likely enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 322 km/h.

So wait, what we've been seeing lately is the SLC not the SLS Black Series?

 

Me thinks thats a Black Series mule, can't really tell if the car is shorter or not unless its compared to a normal sls

SLC OR SLS BLACK SERIES, because the title is SLC and the article says black series.

 

Sent this link to my uncle who works at Mercedes and he said that these shots could be of the E-CELL SLS fully electric over 500kw

 

Could be right! They want to start selling the E-CELL SLS in 2014.

DJ, did the spies hear anything coming out of the exhaust? If not -> probably E-CELL SLS.

 

And four exhaust pipes? It's the final Black Series. Because it's wider looks shorter and lower than the basic SLS.

 

Those back wheels look pretty good!
