Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series laps the 'Ring in 7:46

According to reports floating around the web this morning, the baddest of all new benz's, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series, lapped the famous Nordschleife in 7 minutes, 46 seconds. The feat was done in the hands of Sport Auto.

The C63 AMG Black Series is in good company posting a time in between the new Porsche 911 Carrera S (7:44) and the wild BMW M3 GTS. (7:48) Stay tuned for an official release from Mercedes-Benz soon.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. The car is just awesome, but to be around the same time as a regular 991 Carrera S? That seems a bit off.

That's because you are spoiled by fake lap time reports from car manufacturers such as Nissan and McLaren, who claim times 10-20 seconds quicker than anyone can actually manage. This is a realistic time for a car that was never really designed to be a supercar.
7:46 is an amazing time for a C63 BS. The SLS did it in 7:40 but don't forget that car was made by AMG from the very beginning.
