Would vote Flint over Designo Graphite,

Palladium is lighter, so it depends if you want a silver blend its between normal silver and palladium, if you want a gray shade then its either between flint or designo graphite which is a greenish grey.

 

i like the darker shades on this car

 

If your ordering it, you can get two new colours,

Designo Cashmere White( matte pearl ) from SL63 IWC and Designo Night Black ( Matte black ) from factory,

For the America, Matte black can be ordered not sure of the matte white never seen one on u.s sites.

 

It depends, he are our G55's at home.

I like the brighter colour not because its mine but shows the fender flares better and looks wider. Also because my two previous cars were black, got bored.

I saw a special order matte white S63 AMG and it was stunning. A G55 in the color would be insane. That is my vote.

thanks for all the pics I really like the standard silver but wanted to try something a little different. I saw a palladium truck recently in person and like it very much but since then I have noticed a couple other palladium benz cars and in certain lighting they had a bronze look to it which made me nervous. between flint and graphite they look different in different lighting at times flint looks a bit blue and in certain lights graphite looks a bit dark. tough choice!

 

Designo Magno Alanite Gray ( matte silver ), can't be ordered only for G55's edition 79 but available on the SLS and other AMG's as an extra. Note: My colour can be ordered through AMG performance studio but it will cost around 18,000 Euro's because they will have to stop the production line and take it to AMG from Austria where they build the G, likewise to any other special request colour.

Though there is another matte gray from Mercedes for the G-class and other models darker than mine, called Designo Magno Platin (matte grey).
