We may have to wait till Monday for the official release from Porsche, but apparently these are the official images of the new 991 Carrera 4 and 4S, which have found their way onto the web today.
Power options will be carried over as on the RWD versions with the base Carrera 4 featuring a 3.4-litre flat-six with direct fuel injection and an output of 345hp (350PS) at 7,400 rpm and 390Nm (288 lb-ft) at 5,600 rpm, or buyers can opt for the Carrera 4S model fitted with the 3.8-litre flat-six with direct fuel injection rated at 394hp (400PS) at 7,400 rpm and 440Nm (324 lb-ft) at 5,600 rpm.
One interesting new feature we can make out form the images provided is the optional 'Adaptive Cruise Control' as seen in center part of the lower front bumper. Pricing on this option will be disclosed in the official release Monday.
The public "live" world premiere of the Carrera 4 and 4S models will be at the 2012 Paris Motor Show on September 27.
Stay tuned for more news soon!

Yes, it shows the optional 'Adaptive Cruise Control' (center/lower front bumper) on the last photo shown of the Carrera 4S coupe! This option will soon appear in our PCNA configurator too and will be offered on our 991 models starting later this Fall! Photos also shows the C4S coupe with the glass sunroof which is expected to be re-listed soon as an option in the US & other markets (after experiencing production delays due to supply or quality control issues - we don't know yet exact cause!).
