The Teamspeed Porsche 991 Information Thread!! (991 Spy Shots only Thread)
Next generation Porsche 911 Coupe and Cabrio Information Thread!
We will dedicate this thread to all things next-generation Porsche 911 coupe and convertible, internally called the 998 or 991, that will replace the current model in 2011. The next-generation 911 will feature the same flat-six engine that surely gets a power boost. Prospective owners will have a choice between the new 7-Speed manual gearbox or PDK dual-clutch transmission. The new Porsche will be officially unveiled to the public at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto show this fall.

The rear part of the car, and the roof incline on the first picture reminds me of a Bentley Continental GT.. The last picture of the rear looks very V8 Vantageish.
I'm not sure I like the fact that the 991 is getting a longer wheelbase though.
The 997 was a great design, it will be interesting to see if they are able to exceed it!

I was thining the same thing Ricky.
The rear taillights are either painted or a sticker, I'm assuming to throw off the true rear end so we won't get a full idea of what the next 911 will be. But man..... the rear looks so fat!

^^ I think the wider rear end makes the 911 look much more expensive, and so much more stable.
Hopefully we only have to wait maybe another half a year until we see the new design. The 997 is getting old.
