Spied Again: 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo
Here are the clearest pictures yet of the new twin-turbo Porsche 911
Our Teamspeed spies have again spotted the 991-based, 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo close-up. Wearing minimal camouflage, the prototype appears virtually production ready. As we have been reporting over the past year, the overall design stays pretty faithful to the current model, but there's a revised front fascia, larger air intakes and a new exhaust system.
Engine details still remain elusive, and rumors have suggested the new turbo could feature a triple-turbocharged flat-six with approximately 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp), but its more likely we'll see something to the tune of a 520bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat six engine. Either power-plant will be connected to a seven-speed manual or an optional PDK transmission, which should ensure this is one of the world's fastest, living up to the 911 Turbo legacy.
The new turbo will debut sometime early next year so get your checkbooks ready. Stay tuned for more as always!
