My 458 spider with ball polished challenge rims.....
well this isnt my idea at all, i saw Taz's post on them HGTE rims and i casually asked if it will fit my spider and he confirmed it. So, it got me thinking on my 612 OTO ball polished challenge rims which has been sitting on the self after i got them HGTEs, low and behold after 12 hours here it is :
the challenge front is 14 kilos, the rear is 15.5 kilos,
the spider stock front is 13 kilos, the rear is 14 kilos.
im pretty shocked that the challenge rims are 1 and 1.5 kilos heavier respectively because the stock spider rims LOOK so heavy and are even 0.5" wider front and back. The lesser width was also a non-issue to the naked eye, they almost look the same width side by side.
When i started this exercise i almost bet on the challenge rims being lighter because they were on the CS and options for the 430, maybe OTO ones are heavier i dont know.

but......., most importantly, the ball polished challenge rims look awesome on my spider!!!!!! and its perfectly flushed with the fenders like the stocks and with a teeny bit better front caliper clearance. I dont know how it drives on my runs yet, but so far looking at my reflection from the office buildings going home was awesome!!
Dont get me wrong, i like my stock rims, but these polished challenge rims make the already bling charactered spider even more blingy.
again, all credit goes to taz for this idea and i will make him happy when i put the HGTE ones on which are lighter and wider than stock! ...... maybe in a few months while i enjoy this new bling.

I agree the rim fits the 458 but black or gunmetal would look even better. I love the looks of 458 but they space between the rim and fender is enourmous. They need to be lowered really bad.
