funny you bring this question up...just last week i was on dupont registry looking at scuds for sale and there are pages and pages full for sale...it BOGGLED my mind...i remember a time not long ago that seeing 4 or 5 for sale was ALOT!!!

I hope the treand carries over to the 16M.......that is my fav Ferrari right now and it a nice one drops to 100k ill buy one tomorrow 
All joking aside, the Scud is an amzing car - but will CS prices nearing 100k US and the 458 being all the rage - its not a surprise really.
What would be a surprise is a call that HOLDS it value. Is there a modern car that does? Ford GT comes to mind. Porsche 993's some to mind also.....but not much else.

I too am watching over the Scud prices and the 16M. 16M is the sexiest roadster after the Pagani Zonda F, that darker headlights and the star spoked gray rims are sexy, 16 m lots of character and presence.

I've been watching the UK market closely:
Before the 458 came out there were circa 9 for sale.
As of today there's 30 for sale ranging from 120k (asking) all the way up to 175k (though this is a well known car which is a problem - huge spec and client failed to take delivery). As a comparison there are 44, 430 Coupes for sale...that is unbelievable!

The avg asking price here is now 135k and I haven't seen many move at that price. I know of a couple that have sold lately for 125k with 3000 miles on the clock.
I am keeping my eye on the market but i have to admit: things seem pretty dire within the economy, the market is saturated with Scuds here and they're not moving at the current prices. I am a potential buyer and the concerns i have are similar to most: cash is king and i intend on keeping myself in the same very solid position: I don't want to put money into a car right now. Also as Dana said, credit is tight and lending options are fairly abysmal.
With that said, if a yellow or Avio scud comes up at a reasonable price i'll jump on it without thinking.

Ya i haven't included that one on on my shortlist due to the mileage and fugly side-skirts. I doubt it will sell for much more than 100k.

Over here a Scud 2008 model (trade in) sold for $172,000
There are a couple of low mileage cars under the $215,000.

Too many were produced, market is not the best... and of course credit is tough to acquire. Also we must remember, like Dana said, the Scud is a very focused car. Most casual Ferrari owners are not into the exposed flooring and rougher ride. Very few are die-hard enthusiasts. 430 Spiders have held their value better because the market for a more comfortable/luxurious drop-top 430 is far greater than the Scud. Same reason you can sell a 997 Cab in a heartbeat compared to a GT3 RS.
Oh and the Italia has driven prices down too.
