The Ferrari 458 Italia Picture Thread
#874
I did drive the 458 that day and no regrets at all. The 458 is just an entirely different animal compared to the Scuderia. Both has their own strengths and weaknesses. The Scuderia is clearly a car that was made for the track. The 458 isn't as much of a "track" machine however with less "road feel." I'm very happy to report that Ferrari has not taken away the "shifting feel" with the switch over to dual clutch systems. What's interesting also is that the 458 is relatively quiet when you're cruising but if you punch the gas then things "open up." I believe there's a flap that opens/closes whenever you press the gas pedal. In the end, I still found myself preferring the Scuderia over the 458. I can however imagine just how much of a beast the lightweight 458 version will be if Ferrari ever builds one.
