Another Reason We’re More Excited Than Ever for ‘The Grand Tour’

Richard Hammond’s YouTube channel has been releasing little clips of never-before-seen Top Gear footage lately. They perfectly drum up excitement for the November 18th premier of The Grand Tour, because we get to see the same iconic trio, just in a different format.

This clip takes our memories back to season 18 when Clarkson, Hammond, and May took three supercars across the great country of Italy. Clarkson picked the only Italian supercar, a Lamborghini Aventador. The other two Brits were more patriotic: a McLaren MP4-12C for James, and a Noble M600 for Richard.

In the first of the two “new” scenes, we experience firsthand the flamboyant words we often associate with Jeremy Clarkson. It’s also easy to see how this clip didn’t quite make the final cut of the broadcast version. Though even you’ll admit: Clarkson has a point about Italy’s perfect pairing of style and performance.

James May is the centerpiece of the next clip, with a dilemma we’ve all dealt with at some point. His McLaren key fob (okay, maybe we don’t all deal with having a McLaren) has disappeared into the tight spaces between the seats. May’s pragmatic approach doesn’t sit well with Clarkson, who declares victory simply because he can lock his car.

Can November 18th come soon enough?
