Koenigsegg Trevita CCXR Visits Jay Leno

Bugatti’s Veyron may still technically hold the title of “World’s Fastest Car,” but Koenigsegg has perfected the art of the supercar. Its creations are lighter, faster, and more powerful than any other road-legal machines out there.

Koenigsegg also makes some pretty awesome limited edition cars. One of those amazing models, the Trevita CCXR, recently found its way into Jay Leno’s Garage. With 1,018 horsepower flowing from its 4.8-liter V8, which has only 2,800 pounds to carry around, the car is immensely fast.

The Trevita in the following video is just one of three ever made. Even its name is special. Trevita means “three whites” in Swedish, signifying the car’s very special fabrication. This was the first car Koenigsegg created that used a carbon weave that wasn’t black. Instead, the carbon fiber was specially coated to appear white. When the light hits it, it sparkles like white metallic paint.

Perhaps more striking are the facts that the Trevita CCXR is one of Koenigsegg’s old cars and that the new ones are even more insane. Anyone who said Sweden can’t build cars needs to meet Christian von Koenigsegg.

His Trevita creation is one of the most advanced cars on the road and Jay Leno just seems to fall in love with it. Make sure you stick around until the 14-minute mark. Jay takes the Trevita CCXR for a drive and the noise is worth the wait.
